This prospective cohort study examined associations between adherence to the 24-Hour Movement Guidelines and all-cause and cause-specific mortality among 14,288 adults in the Spanish SUN Project followed for a mean of 12.8 years. Greater adherence at baseline was associated with a progressively lower risk of all-cause mortality, with the strongest reduction observed among those meeting all three guidelines. While meeting multiple guidelines was linked to lower cancer and other-cause mortality, only physical activity independently predicted reduced overall mortality risk. These findings support promoting an integrated, movement-based approach to health, with particular emphasis on physical activity, to enhance longevity.
