The Canadian Children Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Network is a major effort put in place by pediatric IBD researchers and physicians in Canada to share knowledge, biological samples (samples of things from your body like poop, urine, blood or bits of tissue), and data about IBD. Only in this way will we be able to gain real insight into the environmental factors that contribute to its development. We enrol children and teenagers who have developed IBD and are being treated at participating Network centres in Canada with the goal of sharing biological samples, demographic and lifestyle information, disease history, and treatment outcomes.
