Dr. Maya Amitai is a child and adolescent psychiatrist and clinician-scientist with expertise in the treatment of depression, anxiety, and suicidality in youth. Her research focuses on precision psychiatry and the identification of molecular biomarkers that can predict treatment response and adverse effects to antidepressants. She has particular expertise in multi-omics approaches and is currently investigating extracellular vesicle small non-coding RNAs as potential biomarkers of treatment response. Her goal is to translate biological discoveries into more personalized and effective psychiatric care for children and adolescents.
