Heather Leduc-Pessah is a Pediatric Neurologist with a specialization in Epilepsy and Neurogenetics. She completed her PhD in Neuroscience and MD in Calgary, Alberta where she studied molecular mechanisms involved in chronic pain and opioid response. She came to Ottawa for her Residency in Pediatric Neurology and continued at CHEO for a fellowship in Epilepsy and Neurogenetics. Her research program focuses on characterizing genetic epilepsies to better understand targeted treatment options for rare disorders.
