Kidney Disease

Kidney disease research is focused on understanding how the normal function of the kidney is altered, and the reasons for this. Kidney disease can present in many ways in children, and understanding how this started is important to plan for treatment, or reversal of kidney injury. Common kidney diseases in children include nephrotic syndrome, glomerulonephritis, congenital anomalies of the kidney, and acute kidney injury.
