We would like to welcome Dr. Rochelle Einboden who is joining the CHEO Research Institute and the University of Ottawa School of Nursing as the Research Chair in Nursing Care of Children, Youth, and their Families on July 1, 2022.
For more than 20 years, Dr. Einboden has worked as a registered nurse, serving children and their families in both Canada and Australia. With a research focus on health policy, programs and nursing practices, she hopes to enhance ethical practices and social justice to improve health care for children and families.

Her clinical expertise as well as her research and educational track record will strengthen our nursing links to academia at the University of Ottawa and catalyze new inter-disciplinary research at CHEO, ” said Jason Berman, CEO and Scientific Director of the CHEO Research Institute, and Vice President of Research at CHEO.
Dr. Einboden’s passion for pediatric health care and her research and academic expertise will be a tremendous asset to promoting nursing research and collaboration through both the CHEO and University of Ottawa research teams.
