Dr. Roger Zemek is the Co-PI for a cohort study that will recruit children with suspected respiratory tract infection who present to any of 15 participating pediatric EDs of the Pediatric Emergency Research Canada (PERC) network. This study will enable an evaluation of the clinical characteristics and outcomes of SARS-CoV-2 infected children. By rapidly collecting, analyzing, and sharing this detailed information, this study will play a critical role in optimizing medical countermeasures to this novel virus in Canada and globally.
