I visited CHEO’s emergency department during a very stressful time when my daughter was a newborn. A year later, my family used the services of Kids Come First and the emergency department once again. I gathered a lot of ideas along the way re. administration of medication for stubborn toddlers, lack of breastfeeding support for admitted babies, lack of quiet space for children waiting overnight at the emergency department, etc.
