My CHEO Story

Our son Ollie was diagnosed with Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma ALK Positive in November 2019. His is a rare cancer and when he relapsed in his brain in January 2020 and went blind we realized how little research has been done on his disease. After a second relapse and a stem cell transplant with his sister’s cells he is finally in remission and doing well. We have been treated in almost every area of CHEO and participated in every study we can to try to help families like ours so need the hope and possibilities that research brings.

Why I'm involved

I want to do what I can to ensure that parents have treatment options and there is data when their children are critically ill and their illness progresses. Doctors and parents need this to do better for our children.
