My CHEO Story

I am the mother of two amazing boys. Our eldest son, Jacob, is living with anxiety, ADHD and mild OCD. He also has asthma and a few life-threatening allergies. Over the years we’ve spent our share of time in the Emergency Department at CHEO trying to sort out allergy-related intestinal issues and working through some challenges with his asthma.

Our youngest son, Noah, was recently diagnosed with a learning disability and is on the autism spectrum. We hope to be on the receiving end of some education and support from CHEO as Noah works through everything.

Why I'm involved

CHEO has been instrumental throughout our family’s journey and the opportunity to engage with the Research Institute is a blessing. I’m excited about helping to guide the direction of future research while learning more about how the CHEO RI works and how it’s helping families across our region.
