Our very own Dr. Leanne Ward will be presenting as a part of The Human Growth Foundation ‘s HGF Endocrine Lecture Series on Rare Bone Disorders webinar, “Bone Fragility and Morbidity in Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.”
The live webinar will be held on September 16, 2020, from 10:30 am – 11:30 am EST, followed by live Q & A.
The overall progress in both diagnosing and managing these rare bone disorders has grown exponentially over the past decade. The overall objectives of the HGF Endocrine Lecture 6-Part Series on Rare Bone Disorders are to learn more about specific rare bone disorders in terms of their underlying mechanisms, their clinical manifestations, and the latest in treatment approaches.
Learning Objectives:
- To review the mechanisms and clinical manifestations of osteoporosis in DMD
- To discuss lessons learned from natural history studies and drug trials that inform current guidelines for osteoporosis monitoring, diagnosis and treatment
- To summarize future directions in the bone health care of patients living with DMD
