Lay Summary:  This is a survey study being done to examine whether pictograms (a simple illustration or picture used to show an idea) in consent and assent forms help people understand the information in those forms.  A consent form is a letter that is given to people that describes all of the important things about a research study. An assent form is much like the consent form, but the information is written in a way that children can understand. An informed consent process is when a member of the research team describes the nature, procedures, risks and benefits of a research study and answers any questions that participants may have about the study.
