My CHEO Story
On December 5 2003, I gave birth at home to an almost 8lb, full-term baby girl who experienced a hypoxic event during the second stage. She was airlifted from a community hospital to CHEO just hours after birth. We spent six weeks in the NICU followed by four weeks at CHEO on 4-east. In that first year, our admissions totalled 8 months and we have continued to benefit from the services and clinics of CHEO since then.
Why I'm involved
I hope my experience over the last fifteen years can be used in a positive way and I want to give back to a hospital that we are so grateful to have in our community.
